Outdoor Improvements

While most of The GrowHaus property is under a roof, we own several outdoor spaces at the edges of our property that are critical to effective operations and circulation. Many of these spaces have been poorly maintained since the previous owner vacated the property several years ago.

Our landscape design aims to use the limited outdoor space available to provide a compelling entrance, create inviting spaces for gathering and circulation, and improve the surrounding ecology.

The area immediately to the east of the marketplace will be reconfigured as a public relaxation space, protected from the nearby traffic by vegetative buffers.

The parking area to the north and east of the Market space will be resurfaced with permeable pavers and vegetative swales along the perimeter to absorb stormwater runoff and increase the curb appeal. An arbor to cover five parking spots will be constructed along the northern edge of the lot and covered in a solar photovoltaic array.

Finally, the "backyard" area to the north of the building will be maintained as a pathway for residents, with the addition of permaculture gardens and community plots.
